We are back from a fabulous week in New Orleans! And boy have I got stories to share. So while Austin sorts and edits his photos (he is more or less the official photographer for this blog), I’ll start you guys off with some pictures taken with my phone, a Motorola Droid Maxx HD.

I was bummed when the cards didn’t come out in our favor and Austin was eliminated as an option for a long-term travel buddy this off-season. But now I’ve found myself one of the very best travel companions there is and we have officially bought our tickets for a February jaunt in…

Japan! I’ve wrangled my mom into a few weeks of exploring and we wanted to do something completely different. Stops on our itinerary include Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, and Nara – but we’ve got room for a couple more adventures. If you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear about them!
