Back to Red Rock Country

It’s been a week and a half since I’ve moved back to ISKY (should be 2 weeks, but rodent-related car issues delayed my arrival), and sitting here in the Moab library I’m feeling obligated to update you all on something or other.

There are things I want to tell you, single reader, things I’d like to share. Things like my joy in seeing these red rocks covered in snow for the first time, or the trials and tribulations of living in a dilapidated old trailer (with a stellar view, admittedly), or the feeling of warmth that overcomes every time I get into the very same bed I slept in my first summer here.

But in the midst of training, I’m exhausted. Exhausted from many, many things – some of which would be appropriate to describe here, and some of them not.

So for now, those stories will have to wait. But with a little recovery and adjustment, I’ll be back soon.

Until then!

My training group walks through the backcountry of Arches National Park in a cold mist. Just one of the reasons I find myself at a loss for words today.
